Harlequins flanker Emily Robinson has been given a five-week ban for headbutting a player after the 31-0 defeat by Saracens on Saturday.

Robinson was sent off at the end of the Premiership Women's game for striking Saracens' Sydney Gregson with her head.

The 23-year-old admitted the charge at a disciplinary hearing and will not be available for the team until February.

"I'm disappointed in myself as I understand that actions such as these have no place in the game," she said.

Robinson's sanction was halved from 10 weeks by the Rugby Football Union due to "the conduct, remorse and record of the player".

She will miss league games against Exeter, Gloucester-Hartpury, Leicester, Loughborough and Bristol.

The second row has been capped once by England and joined Harlequins in 2019.
