Clovers made it back-to-back wins in the Celtic Challenge with a 19-17 victory over Gwalia Lightning in Cork.

The Welsh visitors led 10-0 through tries from Gwennan Hopkins and Molly Reardon at Virgin Media Park.

Clovers hit back with Kate Flannery and Clare Gorman touching down and with a conversion held a 12-10 half-time lead.

Tess Evans' converted try put Lightning back in front before Róisín Ormond went over late on and Flannery kicked the winning conversion.

Clovers lost to fellow Irish side Wolfhounds in their opener before chalking up a first victory by beating Brython Thunder last weekend.

It's a first defeat for Lightning, who topped the standings after winning their first two matches.
