Sam Harris: Bath fly-half signs new contract with Premiership club

Bath back Sam Harris has signed a new contract with the Premiership side.

The 20-year-old England Under-20 fly-half has played nine times this season and made his first Premiership start at full-back at Leicester on 31 December.

Harris, who has made a total of 12 first-team appearances, has agreed a deal until the summer of 2026.

"Before I even came to Bath, I saw Sam playing for the England 20s and he made an instant impression on me," Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan said.

"How he has trained over the last six months has been excellent.

"His speed, his decision-making, and his execution, he's used his opportunities at senior level, he made his Champions Cup debut and Sam Harris will be a big player for Bath in the next number of years."

Harris said playing for Bath "means so much to me" and added "there's nothing I want more than to push on and be successful with the amazing group of players we have here."

He becomes the eighth member of the squad to agree new terms at the Rec so far in 2024 after Will Stuart, Will Muir, Max Ojomoh, Cameron Redpath, Archie Griffin, Charlie Ewels and Niall Annett.
