Former rugby league star Regan Grace has signed for Bath as he continues to recover from a long-term injury.

The 27-year-old ruptured his Achilles playing for St Helens against Salford in August 2022 before switching to rugby union and joining Racing 92.

Grace did not make a single appearance for the French club as he suffered a relapse of the injury in February 2023.

The winger has signed a short-term contract, external with the Premiership club.

Bath hope he will be available for friendlies against Gloucester and Leinster in March.

The Welshman played six seasons at St Helens, winning three Super League Grand Final rings and a Challenge Cup winners' medal.

South Africans Jacques du Plessis and Neil le Roux have also linked up with Bath from Blue Bulls while they continue their rehabilitations from injury.

Du Plessis rejoined the Bulls from Montpellier in 2021 but hamstring and knee injuries limited his appearances.

There is an agreement for the 30-year-old second row to stay with Bath until the end of the season if his recovery goes well.

The length of 20-year-old scrum-half Le Roux's contract has not been disclosed.

Bath resume their Premiership season at home to Sale on Sunday, 24 March.

They are currently third in the table, seven points behind leaders Northampton Saints.
