Ciaran Frawley will start at full-back in place of injured Hugo Keenan in Grand-Slam chasing Ireland's Six Nations game against Wales on Saturday.
Frawley will make his first start in the only change from the XV that began the thumping opening win over France.
The starting side shows seven changes from the round-two win over Italy.
Bundee Aki and Jamison Gibson-Park return to the backs with forwards Peter O'Mahony, Tadhg Furlong, Tadhg Beirne and Josh van der Flier all recalled.
With Frawley taking over from Keenan, who sustained a knee injury in the Italy game, centre Aki and scrum-half Gibson-Park replace Ulster's Stuart McCloskey and Craig Casey.
Frawley made his Six Nations debut by being introduced from the bench in Paris earlier this month, with his only other cap coming in a World Cup warm-up game against Italy last August.
He has played most of his rugby for Leinster at fly-half and centre although he has had six full-back outings for the province this season.
Furlong returns to the front row in place of Finlay Bealham with Beirne preferred at lock to James Ryan.
Captain O'Mahony and Van der Flier return to the flanker roles as Ryan Baird and Jack Conan drop to the bench, with Caelan Doris reverting to number eight.
Doris, who captained Ireland against Italy in O'Mahony's absence, has been passed fit despite missing training on Tuesday when Ireland defence coach Simon Easterby said he was being "managed in a couple of areas".
McCloskey and Conor Murray are the only backs named on the bench as Ireland coach Andy Farrell opts for the 6-2 split he employed in the hugely impressive opening win over the French.
Murray, 34, was rested for the Italy game but makes Saturday's matchday squad at his Munster colleague Casey's expense while Garry Ringrose's continuing unavailability following a shoulder injury means that Ulster's McCloskey remains involved.
Baird, Ryan, Conan are joined in the replacements by their Leinster forward colleagues Ronan Kelleher and Cian Healy with Munster's Oli Jager in line for his debut after edging out Connacht's Bealham for the reserve tight-head prop berth.
Ireland: Frawley; Nash, Henshaw, Aki, Lowe; Crowley, Gibson-Park; Porter, Sheehan, Furlong; McCarthy, Beirne; O'Mahony (capt), Van der Flier, Doris.
Replacements: Kelleher, Healy, Jager, Ryan, Baird, Conan, Murray, McCloskey.
