Tom de Glanville: Bath full-back needs surgery after breaking foot

Full-back Tom de Glanville has scored five tries in eight Premiership games for Bath this season

Bath full-back Tom de Glanville is expected to be out for about 10 weeks after fracturing a bone in his foot.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury during the club's friendly win against Leinster on Friday.

The injury requires surgery and means he will face a race to return before the end of the season.

De Glanville, who also plays on the wing, has scored 10 tries in 13 games for Bath in all competitions this campaign.

Bath host Sale in their first Premiership game since January on Sunday, 24 March.

GJ van Velze is also unavailable after fracturing his thumb during the club's last competitive game against Bristol, with the club expecting him to remain out until early April.

Lock Josh McNally will similarly miss at least the next four games for Bath after suffering a neck injury during training.
