Bath have signed South African forward Jacques du Plessis for the rest of this season, with an option for 2024-25.
The 30-year-old has been with Bath since January, recovering from injury with the club's medical team.
He most recently played for South African club Blue Bulls and has made more than 100 appearances for French Top 14 side Montpellier.
Du Plessis is available for Bath's Premiership game at home to Sale Sharks on Sunday.
"Credit to both the player and our medical and physical performance team for the work they have put in to get Jacques not only playing but performing," said Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan.
"I also want to express my thanks to the Bulls in South Africa for their co-operation to enable this to happen."
