Ethan Lewis has signed a new deal with Ospreys.

The 30-year-old hooker joined the Swansea region last summer, making six appearances since his debut against Connacht in the season opener.

"I'm happy to be able to continue my career with the Ospreys," said Lewis.

"I've enjoyed my time here so far and the boys have all made me feel welcome since I joined. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do as a team this season."

Lewis - who started his professional career with Cardiff - spent two seasons with Saracens prior to his switch to the Swansea.com Stadium last summer.

Ospreys head coach Toby Booth said: "Ethan has been a welcome addition to the squad since he joined.

"It's vitally important to have strength in depth at the hooker position, largely due to its specialised nature.

"With Ethan, Dewi [Lake], Sam [Parry] and Lewis [Lloyd] all with us next season, we feel we're in a good place in that department."

Before their United Rugby Championship encounter with Lions on Saturday, Ospreys also confirmed the loan signing of hooker Chris Moore from Munster.

The 23-year-old, who has represented Ireland's Under-18s, joins on a short-term basis as injury cover.
