The British and Irish Lions took a 1-0 lead in the three match series against the Wallabies with a 27-19 win in Brisbane, maintaining their record of never having lost an international in the Queensland city.
Three tries, from Sione Tuipulotu, Tom Curry and Dan Sheehan helped the Lions take a comfortable lead but the hosts improved markedly in the second half.
Here's a selection of photos from the highly anticipated clash at the Suncorp Stadium.

Lions fans turned out in their droves to see their team maintain their record of never having lost a Test in the city of Brisbane.

Lions captain Maro Itoje led his team out into an intense atmosphere in the Suncorp Stadium, making his sixth consecutive start for the Lions stretching back to the tour of New Zealand in 2017.

The pairing of Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones in the centres stirred much pre-match debate, and Tuipulotu got the Lions off to a fine start with a try after only eight minutes

The Wallabies were struggling until a brilliant catch and run from Max Jorgensen saw the Australia winger race in for a try in the 28th minute.

Tom Curry enjoyed an outstanding match, and when his 35th minute try stretched the lead it looked like the Lions were on the verge of running away with the first Test.

Hooker Dan Sheehan touched down for a try, subsequently converted by Finn Russell, and the Lions were 24-5 ahead just two minutes into the second half.

Carlo Tizzano's converted try made it 24-12 to the Lions and gave the Wallabies hope going into the last few minutes of the match.

Scrum-half Tate McDermott slid in for a converted try late on that further cut the deficit, underlining Australia's improvement that might give them hope going into the second Test in Melbourne.

Joe McCarthy and Dan Sheehan were among the many Lions players to mingle and take photos with the fans after the final whistle.

Opposing fly- halves Finn Russell and Tom Lynagh, who was making his first Test start, were deep in conversation after full time.
