Louis Rees-Zammit scored his first try for Bristol Bears to help his new club to victory against his old side Gloucester in the Premiership Rugby Cup.

The Wales wing scored the second of Bristol's six tries in a 40-24 victory at Kingsholm for their first win of the season.

A far less experienced Gloucester scored the opening try, but then trailed 40-5 before rallying with three further tries to claim a bonus point.

It was a first defeat for the Cherry and Whites who had beaten Exeter Chiefs in round one.

In Barnet, Northampton Saints ran in seven tries to beat Saracens 49-34.

Captain Callum Chick scored the first try after just four minutes, and went on to complete a first-half hat-trick as Saints led 28-22 at half-time.

Max Malins scored on his return to Saracens after a summer move from Bristol, and 19-year-old winger Jack Bracken scored two second-half tries.

But Saints always had their noses in front and sealed victory with two tries from full-back James Ramm.

Leicester Tigers made it two wins from two as they beat Harlequins 25-17 at The Stoop.

Tries from George Pearson and captain Charlie Clare put them 17-5 up at half-time, after Jordan Els had scored the opening try for Quins.

The hosts began the second half much the stronger, and two quick tries from hooker Jack Walker and flanker Will Evans levelled the game.

But Joe Woodward's penalty put Tigers back in front before Ryan Crowley scored the decisive try.
