Llandovery beat Rygbi Gogledd Cymru (RGC) 36-35 with the last kick to go top of the table on an afternoon of late drama in Super Rygbi Cymru (SRC).
The Drovers maintained their unbeaten start to move above Ebbw Vale, who saw their game at Cardiff postponed after Storm Amy caused damage at the Arms Park.
RGC, winners at Pontypool last month, looked set to claim their biggest away win at Church Bank when they led 35-22 in the closing stages.
But Jac Davies sparked a remarkable Llandovery comeback with a try before Tiaan Sparrow crossed in the final minute to set up Ioan Hughes for the match-winning conversion .
There was another dramatic finish at Pontypool when former Wales Under-20s hooker Evan Wood crossed to secure a 24-21 comeback win against Carmarthen Quins, who had led 21-3.
Bridgend also struck late to edge a thriller against Aberavon 36-26 at Talbot Athletic Ground.
Hooker Corey Lewis scored the Ravens' fourth try in the closing stages and then scrum-half Chris Williams sealed the victory to deny the Wizards even a losing bonus.
Newport's terrible start to the defence of their title continued on Thursday when beaten by Swansea.
The Whites completed a double over the Black and Ambers, who are yet to win this season, by winning 24-14 in the Dunvant rain.
