Wales Under-20s secured a 35-25 bonus-point win over Spain in their final Pool B fixture at the World Rugby U20 Championship in Verona.
Following defeats by Argentina and France, Wales were unable to progress to the top tier play-offs in the competition.
Head coach Richard Whiffin made 10 changes for the game against Spain.
An early penalty try and Evan Wood's touchdown had put Wales in control before tries from Oriol Marsinyac and Liam McNamee for Spain, who led 18-14 at the break.
But a strong second-half showing saw Wales earn their first victory at the tournament, with tries from Caio James, Sion Davies and Jack Woods.
