Scotland prop Will Hurd has signed a contract extension with Leicester Tigers.

The Leicestershire-born 25-year-old has made 44 first-team appearances for Tigers since first joining them in 2021 after a stint on the books at Glasgow Warriors.

He made his debut for Scotland in Canada earlier this year and has gone on to score one try in four appearances for his country.

"I've achieved some big goals of mine in the last 12 months and Leicester have been a big factor in that," Hurd told the club website., external

"I still have a lot of development left in me and there's no club better than Leicester for me to do that."

Hurd has so far made just three appearances for Tigers under head coach Michael Cheika this season, with England's Joe Heyes establishing himself as first-choice tight-head while hugely experienced 37-year-old Dan Cole also remains a force in the position.

"He [Hurd] has been competing excellently inside of the squad in a very competitive position and is taking great steps forward," Cheika said.
