Wales hooker Kirby Myhill has joined Scarlets on a short-term loan.
The 33-year-old has been playing with Miami Sharks in America's Major League for the last two seasons.
But with South African Marnus van der Merwe currently part of the Springboks squad competing in the Rugby Championship and Ryan Elias sidelined until November following surgery on an elbow injury, Scarlets have signed Myhill as cover.
Scarlets also have highly rated Wales Under-20s hooker Isaac Young in their ranks.
Myhill came through the Scarlets Academy ranks and the Burry Port native went on to play 72 matches for Scarlets between 2010 and 2016 before joining Cardiff.
He made his Wales debut against the New Zealand in 2021, his only Test appearance.
