Ealing Trailfinders stunned Saracens 50-29 in an enthralling encounter in the latest round of the Premiership Rugby Cup.

Ealing looked the stronger from the first whistle, with Mike Willemse and Reuben Bird-Tulloch opening the scoring, before Carwyn Tuipolotu and Brandon Jackson responded for the hosts.

Tobi Wilson then scored a brace either side of Jackson's second before repeated penalty infringements saw the Championship team pull away.

Bird-Tulloch and Jordy Reid added to the total before consolation efforts from Tiff Eden and Jackson secured a bonus point for Sarries.

In the day's other matches, there were also wins for Bristol, Sale Sharks, Coventry, Harlequins, Newcastle Falcons, Exeter Chiefs and Leicester Tigers.

Looking to complete the double over their London rivals, Ealing got off to a flying start with two quickfire tries from Willemse and Bird-Tulloch leaving Sarries reeling.

The home team responded with a brace of their own through Tuipolotu and the flying Jackson before Wilson secured Ealing's bonus point before half-time.

Jackson then struck again to give Sarries hope, before a run of penalty infringements allowed Dan Jones to extend the away team's lead to 19 points.

Bird-Tulloch and Reid then put the game beyond the hosts, before late consolation scores by Eden and Jackson gave the final score an air of respectability. The result leaves Trailfinders first in Pool C, while Saracens will need to win both of their upcoming games to have any chance of progressing.

In the other game in Pool C, Harlequins triumphed over London Scottish 33-14 in an attritional game at the Stoop.

After a quiet first 20 minutes, the first notable action of the match was a yellow card - Matt Wilkinson being sent to the bin for the visitors following a nasty head-on head clash with Leigh Halfpenny.

Quins exploited their numerical advantage, with Jack Musk somehow staying in touch and stepping a couple of defenders before dotting down.

London Scottish took the lead when Noah Ferdinand stole through, before Quins restored their advantage from close range through George Hammond as half-time beckoned.

Quins exploited an early second-half yellow card for Scottish's Jonny Law as Musk secured his second, before Will Hobson drove over to secure the try bonus point.

Lewis Gjaltema and Alec Lloyd-Seed then traded scores to leave Quins second in the pool, with London Scottish now playing only for pride.

In Pool B, Leicester beat East Midlands rivals Northampton 54-33 in a hugely entertaining game at Welford Road.

The Tigers showed their teeth early on, with Emeka Ilione, Will Wand and Hanro Liebenberg exploiting the Saint's youthful defence to take a 21-0 lead.

The Saints responded through Will Glister and a brace from Tom James to bring them within two points before Kyle Hatherall stretched the lead for the Tigers once again.

James brought up his hat-trick as the game hung in the balance, but Leicester's experience eventually told as Liebenberg, Wand and Solomone Kata ravaged the Saints defence for further scores.

Fyn Brown's effort looked to have secured a losing bonus point for the Saints before Adam Radwan's breakaway effort took the Tigers beyond 50.

In the other match in Pool B, Coventry demolished Championship rivals Nottingham 76-21 at Butts Park Arena.

Sam Maunder and Tom Hitchcock got the ball rolling with early scores before Jack Stapley and Jack Dickinson responded for the Archers.

The away team scored their final try of the afternoon through Nathan Tweedy, before being subjected to a barrage of further tries from Will Biggs, Hitchcock, Josh Barton and a Jimmy Martin hat-trick.

The result leaves Coventry top of the pool, with Nottingham still searching for their first win in the competition.

In Pool D, Bristol easily overcame Championship strugglers Ampthill 74-14 at Dillingham Park.

Scoring 12 tries in total, the away team gained a bonus point before the half-hour mark - with scores for Benjamin Grondona, Noah Heward and two for the flying Deago Bailey.

Ampthill responded through Mason Cullen following a Rich Lane fumble, before Will Capon strode away from the defensive cover to feed Kieran Marmion in the corner for the Bears' fifth.

Piling on the pressure, Benjamin Elizalde and Bailey added a further two tries each, before further efforts from Kalaveti Ravouvou, Tomas Gwilliam and Joe Jenkins sealed the win.

The result leaves Bristol top of the pool, while Ampthill remain bottom with four losses from four.

In Pool E, Exeter Chiefs overcame Hartpury 36-14 at 4ED Hartpury Stadium.

Paul Brown-Bampoe, Tom Cairns, Dan Frost, Ethan Roots and Tamati Tua all featured on the scoresheet, with the home team unable to live with the Chiefs' intensity.

Mike Austin and Harry Short responded for the hosts, but Rob Baxter's men were already out of sight by half-time.

Exeter top the pool and have four wins from four matches in the competition, while Hartpury have to win against Gloucester on Friday to have any chance of advancing.

In Pool A, Sale Sharks had a scare before finally overcoming lowly Caldy 28-14 at Paton Field.

Alex Willis and Ollie Davies were first on the scoreboard for the Sharks before the home team staged an unlikely second-half comeback.

Matt Gallagher's quick-fire brace put the match in jeopardy before Seb Kelly and another effort from Wills secured a bonus point victory for Alex Sanderson's men.

Sale remain in second in the pool, with Caldy no longer able to qualify for the playoffs.

In the other game in Pool A, Newcastle easily beat Doncaster 42-18.

The Falcons scored three tries in the first half through Freddie Lockwood, Ben Stevenson and Louis Brown before the Knights responded through Conor Davidson and Telusa Veainu.

But the away team ran away with the game in the second half, with further scores from Max Pepper, Brett Connon and Micky Rewcastle, leaving Newcastle top of the pool. Doncaster are still in contention, but will need to win both of their final two matches to have a chance of making the playoffs.
