Saracens lock Harry Wilson has been banned for three matches after he was sent off for a high tackle on Rusi Tuima against Exeter Chiefs on Saturday.

Exeter flanker Jacques Vermeulen has also received a two-game ban for dangerous play that went unpunished in the Chiefs' bonus-point victory.

Wilson, 27, was dismissed with eight minutes remaining when he tackled Tuima and his shoulder made contact with the 24-year-old's head.

He will miss his side's next three Premiership Rugby Cup fixtures against Ealing Trailfinders, London Scottish and Harlequins, though the ban will be reduced to two games if he completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme.

South African Vermeulen, 29, was cited for a "dangerous play in a ruck or maul" and will miss the Chiefs' cup games against Hartpury University and Cornish Pirates.
