Leicester Tigers flanker Harry Beddall has been named as Wales captain for the Under-20s Six Nations.

Beddall is part of a 41-strong squad announced by head coach Richard Whiffin.

Fifteen players return from last year's championships, with Cardiff centre Steffan Emanuel named as vice-captain.

New Zealand-born Ieuan Corneilius also features, having qualified for Wales through his Swansea dad. He has signed for Ospreys and has been playing for Swansea.

Wales will be looking to build on last year's fifth position when they start their campaign away to France on 1 February in Vannes.

"As a group we're ready and raring to rip into the tournament," said Whiffin.

"We've got lots power and pace in there, a good blend of guys coming back from last year and obviously some new guys into the camp.

"We've had a good bit of prep time where we've built some good combinations through the games against Scotland and two games against the Regional Academies."
