There's less than one minute left of Joe McCarthy's time in the bin, and Ireland have missed the extra man badly.

No, as Ronan Kelleher's throw evades everyone and Argentina gather.

After claiming a good mark in his own 22, Albornoz scuffs his clearance and now Ireland have the throw midway through the Argentina half.

    Can they flip the momentum?

To highlight Argentina's superiority in the second half, they've had 73% possession in the last 10 minutes.

  6. MISSED DROP GOALpublished at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time

    Ireland 22-19 Argentina

That's the first mistake Tomas Albornoz has made all game.

He's in a great position and not under a lot of pressure, but he sticks it wide.

James Ryan stops Argentine momentum with a huge hit. That was badly-needed!

They look to reset and go again!

Albornoz kicks it into touch just outside the 22.

Thomas Clarkson is on for part II of his debut, by the way.

It's another advantage for Argentina as Jack Crowley just catches his opposite number Albornoz in the air.

It was marginal, but it was a touch early.

Ireland still lead but you wouldn't think it.

Mack Hansen is the next to make a big error as he throws a pass straight out of play.

It's all going Argentina's way at the moment.

The referee is not making idle threats as he had warned Caelen Doris that the next penalty meant a yellow.

Ireland need to be very careful that ths game dos not slip away with him.

The ever-reliable boot of Albornoz brings Argentina to within three points.

Hmmm, this was already getting pretty uncomfortable for Ireland.

McCarthy being banished to the sin-bin will not help matters.

This is starting to feel All Blacks-esque.

Joe McCarthy is going to the bin here for straying offside.

Caelan Doris had been warned at the end of the first half and that has carried through.

Ireland look all at sea here. They need to steady the ship - and quickly.

Andy Farrell had his head in his hands after that one, and Albornoz points to the posts.

    Argentina come forward through Moroni.

He's brought down, but the penalty advantage is going Argentina's way once again.

That's a bit of frustration by James Lowe, who shoves Mallia out of the way when he wasn't getting anywhere near Gibson-Park's over-hit kick.

Penalty Argentina, and it's sent into the 22.

I don't even think Caoimhin Kelleher could have saved the Irish there.

(That's a reference to the Republic of Ireland and Finland match that was played at the Aviva Stadium last night when Kelleher saved a penalty at that end of the ground, if you don't follow football).

That is a stunning try from Juan Cruz Mallia. He just cuts Ireland open and his step on Mack Hansen is incredible. he just did the simple things well with a brilliantly-ran line.

    Juan Cruz Mallia (con Abbornoz)

    THAT. IS. STUNNING.

The full-back gets the ball on half way and he races through a gap.

There is some poor tackling by Garry Ringrose, Caelan Doris, Mack Hansen and James Lowe, but you can't take anything away from the run and finish.

He left the Irish players in the dust.

It's one of the best tries I've seen for a long, long time.

It's now a bit of de-ja-vu, as Argentina have it back on halfway like they did a few minutes ago.
