NZ centre Sylvia Brunt punches a hole through the line and the crowd erupt, can she go all the way...?!No, she's eaten up but that was something else.

Twenty points in it with 20 minutes to go. Any nerves?

    Georgia Ponsonby (con King)

The Black Ferns haven't given this up and rightly so. They have a spell of pressure and when it comes to hooker Georgia Ponsonby on the right she has the space to drive over.

Hannah King adds the extras with aplomb.

    New Zealand 12-39 England

It's just been pointed out that England have scored nothing from mauls today - a few years ago in the World Cup that was their whole gameplan. A real evolution in style.

    New Zealand 12-39 England

Some tired minds and legs out there now and a few errors are creeping in. It's turnover central out there.

    New Zealand 12-39 England

NZ get a penalty but Hannah King's kick into touch is abysmal, it must land about 10 metres infield and England get the ball back.

I wouldn't see heads have dropped but they are on the edge.

    New Zealand 12-39 England

That's two tries apiece for England's back three. The Black Ferns have no answer to them as both sides start to make changes.

    Jess Breach

Sensational rugby it really is! England have a lineout on the left, and within two or three passes they have scored in the opposite corner.

Tatyana Heard breaks the line and finds Abby Dow, she turns on the gas and then finds fellow wing Jess Breach inside and she nails it over.

    New Zealand 12-34 England

There's a bit to go before England can start thinking about record wins etc.

They beat NZ 56-15 back in 2021!

England lead by 22 (twenty-two) points.

    Natasha Hunt (con Rowland)

Brilliant again! Natasha Hunt anticipates the kick from Renee Holmes, gets her hands up to charge the kick down and gets a kind bounce to fall on it for another try,

Helena Rowland nails this one beautifully!

    New Zealand 12-27 England

England pen NZ back right in the corner within smelling distance of their tryline...

This is seriously impressive by John Mitchell's side.

    Abby Dow

    So, so good!

Just brilliant, fluid attacking rugby as England pop two or three quick passes and stretch NZ, Ellie Klidunne has space to sprint into and then fling it out to Abby Dow who can sail in for her second.

Again Helena Rowland is left with a tough kick that she can't convert.

    New Zealand 12-22 England

Brilliant defending again! She did it in the first half and now Ayesha Leti-I'iga does it again to strip th eball from Jess Breach as the England wing looked sure to score in the corner.

    New Zealand 12-22 England

England are pushed hard from the off and nearly lose the ball in a dangerous area but it's knocked on by a black shirt. Tatyana Heard did well to keep hold when given a bit of a hospital pass.

London, Sunderland, Brighton, Bristol, Exeter, Northampton, Manchester, York.

What do they have in common? They are all hosting games in next year's World Cup, of course.

    New Zealand 12-22 England

Helena Rowland only landed one out of four conversions in the first half for England. Could those missed points yet prove costly?

  20. Postpublished at 21:47 British Summer Time

Remember that England average 49 points a game this year. Even against the best they can pile it on.
