1. Irish interprovincial day in the URCpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 12 October

It's a blockbuster Irish interprovincial Saturday double bill in the United Rugby Championship as Leinster face off against Munster at Croke Park in Dublin at 17:45 BST, followed quickly by Ulster against Connacht at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast at 20:00 BST.

The first derby match of the day will have more the feel of an international game as a sell-out crowd of 82,000 watch Leinster and Munster lock horns at one of the most impressive stadiums in Europe, the home of gaelic games in Ireland.

With Leinster's RDS hone being redeveloped. Leo Cullen's side are playing their home fixtures at the Aviva Stadium and Croke Park this season.

Leinster have won their first three games in the URC to get their campaign off to a strong start, while their opponents are four points behind their rivals after suffering a surprise defeat to Zebre on the road two weeks ago.

Three of the last four meetings between the sides have been won by Leinster but all four of those have been decided by a single score so another close encounter could be on the cards today.

In the evening's second game, the competing teams have had contrasting fortunes in recent weeks, with Ulster losing to both the Lions and the Bulls on their tour to South Africa and Connacht racking up back-to-back victories over the Sharks and Scarlets.

That promises to be another hard-fought close encounter under the lights.

We will have live text commentary on both matches, with the Ulster v Connacht match available to watch live on BBC Two NI, BBC iPlayer and the BBC sport website and app from 19:45 BST.

A hugely exciting evening in prospect then so sit back and enjoy with us as we bring you all the action and drama as it unfolds.
