Hope Rogers (con Hawkins) - 40mins

What a day this is turning out to be for Hope Rogers.

The prop is over for her second of the day to mark her half century of caps.

It was her quick penalty that set things in motion and there was a big carry from Alev Kelter in the build-up too, before Rogers goes over from close range again.

Hawkins adds the conversion in the last play of the half.

Erin King (con Fowley) - 27mins

We come back for a penalty, however, and the USA aren't alert to the quick tap penalty.

After saving a try at one end, Erin King provides the score at the other.

Fowley adds the extras to tie things up.

    Hope Rogers (con Hawkins) -18mins

Ireland really should have made their own pressure tell and now they've been punished.

Cheta Emba has to scoop the ball up off her shoelaces and it's a great effort to keep things alive.

She's rewarded when, after US recycle the ball inside, Rogers is on hand to crash over on her red letter day.

What a tackle from Erin King!

It's been all Ireland so far but suddenly Tahlia Broady is galloping into space off a well-worked move.

Irish back-rower King does brilliantly to chase back and tackle her into touch.

A first threat from the US.

    USA 0-0 Ireland

Virtually ten minutes of pressure from Ireland but they've still nothing to show for it.

Aoife Wafer carries strongly off the scrum to start but Ireland can't pierce a hole in the US defence. The Eagles force the knock-on and will have the chance to clear.

    USA 0-0 Ireland

A strong start from Ireland, this.

Off the goal-line drop-out, they're straight back into USA territory with Enya Breen carrying well.

It's a third US penalty in the opening seven minutes...but Ireland are turned over at the line-out again.

USA kick to clear and Breen takes the ball straight to the face.

We come back for a knock-on and Ireland will have the scrum.

    USA 0-0 Ireland

Things get scrappy for Ireland but Aoife Wafer takes matters into her own hands, driving for the line to get her side back on the front foot.

Scott Bemand's side look for all the world that they're going to open the scoring but Stacey Flood goes herself with a team-mate outside her and gets held up.
