    So that's all from Kingsholm.

Scarlets had plenty of the ball but did not use it well and were given a brutal lesson in finishing by Gloucester.

The Cherry & Whites move into the qualification spots in Pool 3 with nine points and travel to Bayonne next Sunday.

Scarlets are still in the reckoning and host Vannes next Saturday in Llanelli with a chance to progress.

I think it shows where Scarlets are in their building process.

They are good at home, but when they go away to tough environments they're second best in all areas.

    They've been far too inaccurate.

The last replacements are on and now the only sub not on the field is Gloucester scrum-half Tomos Williams.

And to be frank, they haven't needed him.

    Wow! Christian Wade - outstanding!

Some excellent footballing ability to control that ball. It's an incredible effort.

But where does it start from? Another Scarlets mistake.

  11. Try reviewpublished at 74 mins

    Gloucester 24-7 Scarlets

Gareth Davies makes half a break and Scarlets were within touching distance of the line.

But a huge tackle by Chris Harris dislodges the ball from Eddie James' hands and Christian Wade hacks the ball up field.

He kicks again all the way up the pitch and is then battling with a Scarlets player to touch it down.

It looked for all the world that Josh Hathaway was in.

He will not want to watch that on the video review on Monday!

Scrum in front of the posts and Gloucester's backs go left.

Hathaway leaps into towards the corner flag but somehow loses the ball in mid-air.

    Oops!

Gloucester are hammering away close to the posts but are just held out.

The hosts are sniffing a fifth try and ending half thoughts of a Scarlets bonus.

Full disclosure, I was just looking up the last time Scarlets had been nilled.

    I can stop looking now!

If you're interested, it was against Clermont Auvergne in January 2013.

Eddie James try, Ioan Lloyd con

    Wow, a try from nothing.

Ioan Lloyd spotted space and found Taine Plumtree with a chipped kick and the flanker hands centre Eddie James a run to the line from 20 metres out.

The breakdown has been an area where Gloucester have bossed it.

Too many times the Scarlets have their 10s and 12s on the floor during breakdowns, and they are running out of ideas.

    Gloucester 24-0 Scarlets

Given the scoreline, you wonder with some of these replacements whether both coaches are already thinking of protecting certain key players.

The Scarlets are playing as individuals. It's just chaotic, that's the only way I can describe this performance.

Okay they are away at Gloucester, it is an intimidating place, but there is a lack of control.

They're not sure what they want to do - whether to stick or twist.

  20. Replacementspublished at 58 mins
