    Mirco Spagnolo

That won't help the Scotstoun atmosphere.

It's a well-executed rolling maul from the Italians and Glasgow can't stop the momentum.

Prop Mirco Spagnolo takes the plaudits from his teammates, and Jacob Umaga knocks over the extras.

Scotstoun crowd very subdued here for some reason. Big attendance but it's not exactly buzzing.

They're beating a good Benetton team 14-0 and are looking pretty dangerous every time they get hands on the ball. And with that, a Warriors chant goes up. More like it.

    Glasgow 14-0 Benetton

Benetton have been good in spells so far, without really clicking fully.

They win a breakdown penalty here though and the visitors kick to the corner.

    Big chance.

Almost genius again from Sione Tuipluotu, who stabs a grubber kick into space, and it's inches away from finding Kyle Rowe.

This is the Sione Tuipulotu show so far at Scotstoun.

Excellent for the first try and ridiculously good for the second, they'll be building a statue to this fella here before long.

He's attacking this season in exactly the same way he attacked last season. He said he wasn't satisfied with just one URC title and he's playing like it.

He's a definite for the Lions tour. Test player as well, surely.

    Glasgow 14-0 Benetton

Benetton's discipline has let them down somewhat in the last minute or two.

A really silly penalty goes Glasgow's way after the ball is cynically kicked out of Jamie Dobie's hands, and Adam Hastings kicks the hosts into dangerous territory once more.

    Matt Fagerson

Sione Tuipulotu unlocks the Benetton defence again, and Glasgow have their second try.

It's a great step from the Scotland centre before he spins out of a tackle and has the presence of mind to offload to the onrushing Matt Fagerson.

Glasgow's number eight races away to score under the posts, and Adam Hastings adds the extras.

    This is pure chaos.

The conversion had been taken from the touchline, the players were ready to go again, but the officials have disallowed the try having seen Andy Uren's pass on the big screen.

Benetton can't believe it, but we've eventually arrived at the correct decision.

    Paolo Odogwu

    Try given.

It was wonderful hands to set it up. Jacob Umaga makes the decisive break and then throws a lovely offload to Louis Lynagh in support.

Paulo Odogwu then holds off Kyle Rowe to dot down in the corner.

Kyle Steyn is asking Marius van der Westhuizen to look at a pass from scrum-half Andy Uren earlier in the move that looked suspect.

When I say suspect, I mean it's a good yard or two forward...

Is it the perfect introduction for Paolo Odogwu?

He thinks he's scored in the corner, but the officials want to check if he is in touch...

Benetton pile forward from the kick-off, but Rory Darge gets over the ball at the breakdown and wins the hosts a penalty.

He's so good in those situations.

    Kyle Steyn

A wonderful team try carves Benetton wide open, and Glasgow lead.

It's brilliant from Sione Tuipulotu initially, taking the ball flat to the line and popping a delightful pass up to Adam Hastings.

The Glasgow 10 goes wide to Josh McKay, he in turn finds Kyle Rowe, and the winger has his captain Kyle Steyn in support.

It's a stroll to the line for the Warriors captain, and Hastings adds a simple conversion.

  19. Darge in Lions conversation?published at 19:34 British Summer Time 27 September

    Glasgow Warriors v Benetton (19:35)

    Andy Burke
    BBC Sport Scotland

One thing we learned from Glasgow's defeat to Ulster is that Rory Darge is one of the game's leading flankers.

The pundits’ Lions selections are already starting to trickle in with the tour to Australia still nine months away.

Darge’s qualities have been plainly evident to anyone watching Glasgow and Scotland in recent times, but there’s a sense he is still not at the forefront of minds beyond the border.

The flanker got through a ridiculous 38 tackles at the Kingspan Stadium, with a couple of turnovers thrown in for good measure.

Lions head coach Andy Farrell will have an embarrassment of riches to choose from when it comes to back-row selection, but Darge’s all round game would seem well-suited to the fast tracks down under. He has to be at least in the conversation.

    Glasgow Warriors v Benetton (19:35)

Glasgow started their URC defence with that late defeat to Ulster last weekend, while Benetton started their league season with a 20-20 draw at home against Scarlets.

The Italian side have spent big money and brought the likes of Louis Lynagh to Treviso.

They will want a play-off spot this season, and will provide a tough test for the Warriors.
