America's Cup: Team USA keep New Zealand waiting
- Published
Oracle Team USA have kept their hopes of retaining the America's Cup alive after winning races 14 and 15 on Sunday, although opponents Team New Zealand still lead 8-5.
New Zealand have been within one race of victory since taking an 8-1 lead by winning race 11 on Wednesday.
But the US boat still need four successive race wins to snatch victory.
"We were under a lot of pressure there at times, but everyone stayed calm," said Oracle skipper Jimmy Spithill.
"What a fantastic day."
Team USA finished 23 seconds ahead of New Zealand in race 14, before finishing 37 seconds ahead in race 15.
Racing is set to continue in San Francisco Bay - where adverse weather has forced several postponements in the last week - on Monday.
