Scotland's Euro 2012 qualifying Group I rivals Lithuania and Liechtenstein drew 0-0 in Kaunas.

Liechtenstein's Martin Buechel hit the post with a long-distance shot in the 24th mintue before Tadas Kijanskas missed a headed chance for the hosts.

Lithuania were reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes to go when Edgaras Cesnauskis was shown a red card for his challenge on Mario Frick.

The striker will now be banned for Tuesday's match against Scotland.

The draw lifts Lithuania to third in the group with five points, one ahead of both Scotland and Liechtenstein with the Scots having two games in hand on both sides.

Scotland host Czech Republic, who are currently second with nine points from five games, on Saturday before Lithuania's visit to Hampden on Tuesday.

Group leaders Spain, who have a 100% record after five matches, are next in action on Tuesday when they host Liechtenstein.
