Shinty: Kingussie retain league title with win over Skye

Kingussie retained their Premiership title with a 4-0 home win over Skye in their penultimate game.
The Badenoch side overcame a two-point penalty for a procedural infringement in July to add the league title to the Camanachd and MacTavish Cups.
Ruaridh Anderson opened for Kingussie after quarter of an hour and added a second early in the second half. Captain James Falconer made it 3-0 and Eoin Baikie completed the scoring.
However, their defeat by Oban Camanachd in the Macaulay final saw them fall short of repeating their 2022 Grand Slam.
Both relegated sides bowed out with defeats when Beauly were edged 2-1 by Camamanchd and Glasgow Mid Argyll ended their programme winless after a 4-0 reverse at the hands of Lovat.
In Oban, Craig MacMillan and Ross Campbell put Camanachd 2-0 up at half time and Callum Flynn pulled one back for Beauly just after the restart.
A Marc MacLachlan double and one each from Greg Matheson and Calum MacAulay clinched Lovat's points in - traffic at Yoker.
Kinlochshiel and Kyles drew 3-3 at Balmacara. Kyles rushed to a 3-0 lead through Robbie MacLeod, Ross MacRae and Scott MacDonald, but Rhuairaidh MacDonald and Ali Nixon pulled Sheil back to 3-2 by half time before Keith MacRae levelled.
