World number one Mark Selby has withdrawn from two ranking events in the run-up to next month's World Championship.

Selby, 32, has pulled out of next week's Players Championship and the China Open for personal reasons.

Matthew Selt replaces Selby for the event in Manchester, while Darryl Hill receives a first round bye in Beijing.

The World Championship begins in Sheffield on 16 April, with Basildon's Stuart Bingham defending his title.
