Mark Allen will begin his World Championship bid against English qualifier Jimmy Robertson at the Crucible on Sunday.

The world number 11 from Antrim reached the semi-finals in 2009 and has also two quarter-final appearances.

Allen will take on Roberston, who is ranked 39th, on Sunday evening with the second session 24 hours later.

Defending champion Mark Selby has been drawn against Ireland's Fergal O'Brien in the first round.

Selby, 33, lifted the trophy for the second time last year with victory over China's Ding Junhui, who comes up against fellow countryman Zhou Yuelong.

Five-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan plays Gary Wilson, world number two Judd Trump takes on Rory McLeod and Shaun Murphy meets 17-year-old Yan Bingtao.
