Tai Woffinden: Wolves rider handed GB captaincy

World speedway champion Tai Woffenden has been handed the Great Britain captaincy by new Lions manager Alun Rossiter for this summer's World Cup.
The 23-year-old Scunthorpe-born, Australia-bred Wolves rider takes over from Coventry's Chris Harris.
Woffinden won the world title in October, in Poland, becoming Britain's first world champion for 13 years.
The World Cup campaign starts on 26 July at King's Lynn against Australia and the United States.
Swindon manager Alun Rossiter was named the new GB speedway boss on 15 January, taking over from Neil Middleditch.
The twice Elite League-winning manager, 48, won the title with Coventry in 2010, external and Swindon in 2012.
