Sports Personality of the Year to be held on Tuesday, 19 December in Salford

The 2023 BBC Sports Personality of the Year will be held at MediaCityUK in Salford on Tuesday, 19 December.
Gabby Logan, Alex Scott, Gary Lineker and Clare Balding will present the show live on BBC One from 19:00 GMT.
This year's show will mark the 70th edition of the annual awards ceremony, first held in 1954.
It will celebrate 12 months of sporting action, including England's run to the Fifa Women's World Cup final and Manchester City's Treble.
In the year Europe won the Ryder Cup and retained the Solheim Cup, 2023 also brought a successful Rugby World Cup title defence for South Africa, while Australia won the men's Cricket World Cup.
England and Arsenal forward Beth Mead was voted the 2022 Sports Personality of the Year after being crowned player of the tournament and top scorer at Euro 2022, which the Lionesses won.

"What will make this year's awards even more special is that we are marking 70 years of the programme. Over the past seven decades, the public has decided who its sporting heroes are, from grassroots to professional, and that's what makes Sports Personality of the Year so important."
The categories for 2023 will include: BBC Sports Personality of the Year; World Sport Star of the Year; Helen Rollason award; Young Sports Personality of the Year; Unsung Hero; Coach of the Year; Team of the Year; and the Lifetime Achievement award.
The contenders for the 2023 Sports Personality of the Year award will be announced in due course. Viewers at home will be able to vote for their winner on the evening of the show.
Tickets to attend the event will be available to the public from Monday via BBC Shows and Tours.
