Guernsey's Chris Simpson loses in Swiss tournament

Simpson is currently ranked 48th in the world

Guernsey Chris Simpson crashed out at the semi-final stage of his final tournament of the 2010-11 season.

The Sarnian was beaten 3-1 by Denmark's Kristian Frost Olesen in the last four of the Pilatus Cup in Switzerland.

Simpson told BBC Guernsey: "Looking at the positives of the last couple of months, I feel more motivated than I've ever felt coming into this off season.

"Sometimes a couple of bad losses really drive you on and make you feel more motivated."

He added: "Hopefully I can take the positives out of last season and work really hard this summer, particularly on my movement and my speed."
