Glasgow 2014: Nick Matthew optimistic after knee surgery

Nick Matthew won two golds at the last Commonwealth Games in Delhi
English world champion Nick Matthew is confident of being fit for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after having a minor knee operation.
The 33-year-old world number two had surgery earlier this week to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.
"Obviously the timing is not ideal, but I'm determined to be fit and optimistic that I will be," he said.
Matthew, from Sheffield, won gold in both the men's singles and doubles, external at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
He won his third world title in four years with victory over France's Gregory Gaultier in Manchester in November.
Uruguay footballer Luis Suarez suffered a similar injury to Matthew in the build-up to the World Cup, but returned to score twice against England just a month after his operation.
The Commonwealth Games open on July 23.
