McMahon and Murphy win eight Irish Short Course golds

McMahon won two golds and a bronze at this year's European Juniors
Sycerika McMahon and Barry Murphy dominated the Irish Short Course Championships in Lisburn as they both clinched eight gold medals.
European Junior medallist McMahon rounded off her weekend by setting a new Irish 200m breaststroke record as she clocked 2:27.18.
McMahon also won the 400m Individal medley gold on Sunday after setting a national record earlier in the meet.
Murphy's haul of wins included a new Irish 50m butterfly record of 23.95.
Dubliner Murphy missed out on last week's European Short Course Championships because of illness.
On Friday, McMahon broke the senior 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley Irish records as she clinched golds.
McMahon also set an Irish junior 200m butterfly record as she won that event.
Murphy also set a new Irish 100m butterfly record on Friday.
McMahon won her 100m breaststroke heat in 1:09.27 before breaking her own Irish senior record (1:07.93) in the final in a time of 1:07.83.
The Leander swimmer followed that up with a junior record in the 200m butterfly final clocking 2:13.52, before breaking Grainne Murphy's 200m individual medley senior record of 2:12.86, finishing in 2:12.41.
