Peaty was well in contention for a medal

Adam Peaty and Siobhan Marie O'Connor added to Great Britain's medal tally with silvers at the European Short Course Championship in Israel.

Peaty won his second silver of the week, finishing 0.18 seconds behind Germany's Marco Koch in the 100m breaststroke.

He was runner-up in the 50m breaststroke earlier in the event.

O'Connor finished second to Hungary's Katinka Hosszu in the women's 200m individual medley.

Hosszu set a new championship record of two minutes 2.53 seconds, with O'Connor clocking 2:05.13 for her second silver of the meeting, which finishes on Sunday.
