Wales' Pardoe in Thames clean water campaign relay
Olympian Hector Pardoe will be among swimmers from around the United Kingdom taking part in a three-day relay swim covering 240km along the River Thames as part of a campaign against sewage in the nation's waters.
England, Scotland, Pardoe's Wales and Northern Ireland will be represented in the event backed by campaign group Surfers Against Sewage from Monday, 1 to Thursday, 4 September.
Pardoe will be joined by Welsh open water swimmer Emily Forwood; Scottish broadcaster and adventurer Calum Maclean and his open water marathon swimmer and compatriot Colleen Blair; Paris Olympian Tobais Robinson and Great British marathon swimmer Amber Keegan representing England; and world record holders Jessika Robson and Daniel Smyth from Northern Ireland.
