Jersey table tennis player Josh Band has revealed he is set to compete in the World Pro Tour.

The 17-year-old has been accepted onto the circuit by the International Table Tennis Federation and has now begun the search for extra sponsorship.

Band told BBC Radio Jersey: "It's amazing - it's the creme de la creme of table tennis really.

"Hopefully I may be seen by a team from around the world and hopefully I can catch their eye."

Joining the Tour will see him compete against some of the world's best players.
