Wozniacki needed treatment on her thigh in the third set
Top seed Caroline Wozniacki prepared for the start of the French Open in perfect style by defeating Shuai Peng in the final of the Brussels Open.
Denmark's Wozniacki came back from a set down to beat China's Peng 2-6 6-3 6-3 at the Royal Primrose Club.
However, she did need some treatment on her left thigh in the third set.
Elsewhere, Andrea Petkovic won her second career title after Marion Bartoli retired while trailing 6-4 1-0 in the Strasbourg International final.
Bartoli is seeded 11th for the French Open, which starts on Sunday, and is drawn to face Anna Tatishvili of Georgia in the first round.
"It's extremely disappointing. The pain got worse suddenly," said the French player, a Wimbledon finalist in 2007.
"It's brutal but I have to accept it. I still have one day and a half to recuperate. We will see how it goes. It's time to pray for a miracle."
Wozniacki's win in Brussels was her fourth tournament victory this year.
At Roland Garros, she will play 40-year-old Kimiko Date Krumm of Japan for a place in the second round.
Wozniacki said she was confident over her fitness despite her playing against Peng with her thigh bandaged.
"It is fine, there are no big problems. It was a small pain, I just didn't want it to get bigger," she said.
"I feel in good shape. I don't feel tired at all. I am full of confidence."
