US Open 2011: Three Britons into junior boys' singles semis

Great Britain has three semi-finalists in the boys' singles at the US Open in New York.

Tenth seed George Morgan, from Bolton, beat Czech Adam Pavlasek 6-7 6-4 6-4 to set up a last-four encounter with 13th seed Oliver Golding from London.

Golding came from a set down to beat sixth seed Filip Horansky from Slovakia 5-7 6-4 6-1.

Yorkshire's Kyle Edmund, playing in his first US Open, beat Egypt's Karim Hossam 6-2 6-4.

Edmund faces a tough task to reach the final as he now plays top seed Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic.

Golding, who reached the same stage in the junior event at Wimbledon last year, looked to have the toughest task against Horansky, who had beaten both the 17-year-old and compatriot Liam Broady in Montreal last week.

But Golding dug deep after losing the opening set and came through to set up his semi-final with Morgan.

The British trio are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Andy Murray, who won the boys' singles title at the US Open in 2004.
