Wimbledon 2013 photos: Murray v Djokovic final countdown

A sell-out Wimbledon Centre Court crowd, and millions at home, will follow the 2013 final between Great Britain's Andy Murray and Serbia's Novak Djokovic. Here, we countdown to the much-anticipated final which starts at 14:00 BST

Having beaten Poland's Jerzy Janowicz in eight minutes short of three hours on Friday evening, Wimbledon finalist Murray heads for the nearby Aorangi Park for a practice session on Saturday morning

"Murray mania" takes over Wimbledon as the Scot prepares for his second successive Wimbledon final, where he will face world number one and 2011 champion Djokovic

Though he is facing the home favourite, Serb Djokovic certainly has his backers and he too takes time out to sign autographs before practice on Saturday

Murray lines up a forehand as he goes through his final preparations for his fourth Grand Slam final against Djokovic. Murray's 2012 US Open win gave him a measure of revenge for two Australian Open defeats by the same opponent

Murray practices under the watchful eye of coach Ivan Lendl, who won eight Grand Slam titles but was never Wimbledon champion, losing in successive finals to Boris Becker in 1986 and Pat Cash in 1987

Djokovic has Marian Vajda by his side as he takes to the practice court. The Slovakian could not match Lendl's achievements as a player - never passing the third round at a Grand Slam tournament - but has been a key part of Djokovic's rise to the top of the world rankings

Murray finds time to sign more autographs after his practice session. His last appearance in a final on Centre Court saw him beat Roger Federer to win Olympic gold just a month after he lost to the Swiss at Wimbledon

"Wimbledon gates have just opened. Now the mad dash for spectators to get best vantage points on Murray Mount," says the BBC's James Pearce at SW19 (Photo: @Pearcesport on Twitter)

Plenty of people arrived early to get into the ground but @Wimbledon tweeted in the morning saying: "Those in #thequeue will have to wait many hours. If you are intending to queue, we advise you not to travel"

The slope formerly known as 'Henman Hill' is today called 'Murray Mount'. There will be a scramble from spectators to get a good spot in front of the big screen

"All eyes are on Andy Murray as he arrives at practice. One boy asks him to sign a jumbo tennis ball and the Scot jokes 'Let me practice first!', but he promises to return and fulfil their requests once he's done," says BBC Sport's David Ornstein

BBC Sport's Paul Birch is watching Djokovic in practice on court 18: "Djokovic is looking really intense in practice. Word has obviously spread and the stands of Court 18 are really filling up as fans get a rare opportunity to see a Wimbledon finalist practice up close"

Time continues to tick away as the start of play draws closer. Will Murray fans see the first British winner of the title since 1936 or will Djokovic claim his second SW19 crown?

The face paint, the arm paint is on, the sun is shining and not a cloud is in sight. The roof won't be need on Centre Court today, but if it was closed, it will surely have been blown off by the boisterous support for Murray

The two plays enter the court to a raucous ovation from the crowd. The waiting is almost over for the players and fans with the final set to get under way
