Davis Cup: Glasgow poised to host semi-final v Australia
- Published
It looks like the Davis Cup is coming back to Scotland - with confirmation expected by the middle of next week.
Glasgow's Emirates Arena has beaten off competition from Manchester to host September's semi-final against Australia.
Andy Murray and Team GB beat the USA in Glasgow in March to make it to the last eight of the competition.
They beat France in the quarter-finals at Queen's Club in July - another win would put them through to the final.
An attempt was being made to move a gig at Manchester Arena by Florence and the Machine, to allow an option for the Davis Cup tie to be played there.
However, the BBC has learned this move has not been successful.
