    For one of Amanda Anisimova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, a first Wimbledon semi-final awaits.

    American Anisimova, the 13th seed, reached the last eight at SW19 in 2022 and was runner-up to Tatjana Maria at Queen's in June.

    Pavlyuchenkova's only previous quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon came back in 2016, when she lost to eventual champion Serena Williams.

    The 34-year-old, a French Open finalist in 2021, has twice recovered from a set down to win on her run to the quarter-finals, fighting back to beat Ajla Tomljanovic and Naomi Osaka in rounds one and three, respectively.
