Impressive stuff from Jannik Sinner.
He still hasn't dropped a set so there is no panic there and he just gets his composure back.
He is almost says: 'What do you have? Can you throw this set into a tie-break? Remember, I haven't lost a set in this tournament yet'.
Carlos Alcaraz has to find a way to push this into a tie-breaker if he wants to turn this final around.

Carlos Alcaraz is back in the building. What a way for him to get back into this set!
It is incredible to look at the response from Jannik Sinner. He looks across at his box as if to say everything is alright and he will break in the next game again.
Sinner missed too many first serves, changed his tactics and took the ball too early after the return.

I think Carlos Alcaraz is kind of trying to find his way again.
He has been trying to at least do something different in the last game or two and we have seen his energy levels going up again.
He is trying his best to get things going out there because he knows he cannot continue in the same way. He cannot expect Jannik Sinner to drop off because he isn't going anywhere.

The forehand has actually let Carlos Alcaraz down today because the backhand has been pretty solid.
If you look at his second serve returns, they have all been predominantly on the forehand side and the errors have come from that.
His forehand is usually his strength.
Sinner 6-4 5-2 Alcaraz*

But it's gifted straight back when Carlos Alcaraz goes long and the Spaniard can only smile. He's already vented his frustration in this match... is he now just accepting it's not his day?
Alcaraz overcooks it again and Sinner is a game shy of taking the second set.
