    I think this US Open could be wide open, I think a lot of players are feeling it.

    The quick change of surface back to the French Open for the Olympics then back on to the hard courts. They have got the jet lag to contend with, it is a lot for their bodies and their minds to deal with.

    I'm feeling like there might be a few more upsets over these next two weeks.

    Play gets under way at the US Open at 16:00 BST with Britain's Jan Choinski taking on Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena on Court 16.

    Other big names to look out for include German fourth seed Alexander Zverev, who opens today's play on Grandstand against unseeded compatriot Maximilian Marterer.

    Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen takes on Amanda Anisimova, while Donna Vekic, the player Zheng beat in the final in Paris, opens her campaign against Australia's Kimberly Birrell.

    Home favourite Ben Shelton is first on Arthur Ashe Stadium at 17:00 BST against Austria's Dominic Thiem.

    Thiem, who was a winner here in 2020, is competing in his final Grand Slam before retiring following a series of injuries.
