Singer Jon Bon Jovi was in the stands watching yesterday's semi-final action at Queen's and former England striker Peter Crouch is in attendance today.

It looks like he's kindly opted to stand at the back as to avoid blocking the view for anyone else!

Jiri Lehecka is doing all he can to avoid engaging in rallies. A big serve followed by a power forehand into the corner hands him a 40-15 lead.

    Alcaraz 3-3 Lehecka*

Carlos Alcaraz claims his second ace of the match on a second serve - firing the ball wide in the box and out of reach for Jiri Lehecka.

A second successive hold to love for Alcaraz. That's just one point dropped across his three service games.

    *Alcaraz 2-2 Lehecka

A 135mph serve from Jiri Lehecka leaves Carlos Alcaraz scrambling across the baseline and unable to return.

A Lehecka forehand grazes the net cord and it carries just long to invite Alcaraz into the game at deuce and then the Czech puts into the net.

    Alcaraz 2-2 Lehecka*

Let's not sleep on Carlos Alcaraz's serving ability. The 22-year-old begins this game with the first ace of the match.

Alcaraz is up and running. A hold to love is sealed with a lovely forehand winner down the line.

  7. Lehecka holdspublished at 14:24 British Summer Time

    *Alcaraz 1-2 Lehecka

Jiri Lehecka really is throwing everything into his first serve and when they land, which at the moment is four out of 12 times, he has won the 100% of those points.

Carlos Alcaraz really needs to take advantage a little better on the second serve.

Not this time, though, as Lehecka comes through to 30.

It's certainly windy and it's going to be swirling around this Centre Court - Lehecka looked up as if to say 'this wind is going to fool me'.

The temperature at Queen's yesterday reached 33C but it's looking a lot nicer this afternoon, especially with a little bit of cloud cover.

    Alcaraz 1-1 Lehecka*

Over to Carlos Alcaraz to try and settle into a rhythm.

Already a good selection of shots - as is often the case - from the world number two, with a nice serve and volley followed by a drop shot.

    It's a hold to 15.

  11. Lehecka holdspublished at 14:18 British Summer Time

    *Alcaraz 0-1 Lehecka

An early opportunity for Carlos Alcaraz to try and get to grips with the big-serving Jiri Lehecka. They have met twice before - Lehecka won in February and Alcaraz won in 2023 - so it's not going to be a huge surprise for the Spaniard.

Lehecka is really leaning into his power but just two of his six first serves land in.

The Queen's men's singles title has been lifted by a Spanish player on five occasions since Andres Gimeno became the first from his country to go all the way in 1960.

Rafael Nadal was the next Spaniard to win at Queen's in 2008 with Feliciano Lopez picking up the title in 2017 and 2019.

Carlos Alcaraz beat Australian Alex de Minaur in the 2023 final.

A second triumph for Alcaraz would move Spain level with Germany on six overall victories and place them as the joint-fourth most successful nation at Queen's.

The USA lead the way with 34 titles with Great Britain (31) second and Australia (26) third.

Emma Raducanu wasn't the alone in keeping an eye on Carlos Alcaraz yesterday...

If you look carefully you can see Jiri Lehecka (back left) watching on after he beat Jack Draper 6-4 4-6 7-5.

Alcaraz made pretty easy work of Roberto Bautista Agut so I'm not sure Lehecka would have learned too much.

    Alcaraz v Lehecka

British number one Emma Raducanu and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz are set to team up for the new-look US Open mixed doubles event.

The US Open mixed doubles will be held as a standalone event on 19-20 August before the hard-court Grand Slam begins on 24 August.

Bringing the mixed doubles forward is a bold and revolutionary move by the United States Tennis Association, which said it hoped would attract more high-profile singles players.

Raducanu, who is playing at Eastbourne next week, stopped by Queen's yesterday and was one of the many interested spectators as Alcaraz beat compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4 6-4 in the semi-finals.

Jiri Lehecka has beaten two Britons - Jack Draper and Jacob Fearnley - at Queen's this week to reach his fifth ATP final.

The big-serving Czech has won two of his previous four finals, picking up titles on the hard courts in Australia at the Adelaide International in 2024 and the Brisbane International earlier this year.

"It means a lot. You don't meet a player like Jack every day, he's an amazing competitor," Lehecka said on court after yesterday's semi-final win.

"I know you're favourite didn't win today but I appreciate you being fair with me."

Not to get too far ahead of ourselves but once today's final at Queen's concludes, it's just eight days until the main draw at Wimbledon gets under way.

Most of the big names will be in attendance as they look to etch their name into the history books, but this year's men's singles event will be missing Casper Ruud.

The Norwegian's team confirmed on Saturday that he is struggling to recover from a knee injury.

Ruud, ranked number 16 in the world, is aiming to return for the Swiss Open in Gstaad on 14 July.

    Alcaraz v Lehecka

Carlos Alcaraz was on top form during his semi-final victory on Andy Murray Arena yesterday.

As is often the case when the 22-year-old is on court, there were no shortage of highlight reel moments, but one stood out above the rest.

The manner in which Alcaraz wrapped up the first set was highly special.

Hopefully we get a bit more of this today.
