Not a cloud in the sky once again although it isn't quite as hot as it was yesterday. Plenty of time for that to change.

There's a pocket of fans just in front of me who led some Hewett/Reid related chants in the build-up to this and are continuing that just now. It is doing a great job of getting a good atmosphere going.

    Hewett/Reid 2-1 De La Puente/Spaargaren*

That's an excellent first service game from Alfie Hewett, holding to 15 to quickly put the pressure back on his opponents. The British pair hear their names chanted once more by the crowd on Court One.

A backhand down the line from Martin De La Puente has too much on it for Alfie Hewett and the Spaniard manages to get over the line in his service game.

  4. Postpublished at 11:26 British Summer Time

    Hewett/Reid 1-0 De La Puente/Spaargaren*

Hewett and Reid are being really aggressive in the rallies, applying pressure on their opponents.

They can't take their first break point opportunity but they're frustrating De La Puente and Spaargaren on their game points. A brilliant backhand from Hewett brings us back to another deuce.

Spaniard Martin de la Puente takes over serving duties from Gordon Reid.

Ruben Spaargaren volleys long after a tense rally to bring Reid and Alfie Hewett to 30-30, and the top seeds will have a look at a first break point after Hewett smashes in a return.

  6. Reid holds servepublished at 11:20 British Summer Time

    Hewett/Reid 1-0 De La Puente/Spaargaren*

Superb reactions from Alfie Hewett after the ball catches the net cord to volley over on an important fifth point with the opening game tied at 30-30.

Gordon Reid then completes a first hold of serve with a well-executed drop shot. A promising start by the defending champions.

  7. Playpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time

Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid are one victory from a 24th Grand Slam title together.

And their seventh at Wimbledon since 2016.

This would be their third straight success at the All England Club, while Hewett is hoping to complete a double triumph after also reaching the final of the singles competition.

Hewett will face top seed Tokito Oda on Sunday, hoping to add to his 10 singles titles.

First up, though, it's the doubles final against second seeds Martin De la Puente and Ruben Spaargaren.

The players are out and we'll be under way very soon.

Saturday is women's singles final day in SW19.

We'll bring you build up and live coverage of that one this afternoon.

But before then, there's possible British success to get excited about.

Before Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova meet on Centre Court, British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool bid to become the first all-British pairing to win the men's doubles title at the All England Club from 13:00 BST.

But first, Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid are aiming to win a third successive title in the wheelchair men's doubles competition.

They are in action shortly on Court One - and that is where we will focus first this morning.
