    Zverev 6-4 3-6 2-6 4-6 Djokovic

Novak Djokovic is speaking to the crowd on Court Philippe Chatrier in French. He says at the age of 38, playing in matches like that one with Alexander Zverev is one of the main reasons why he still loves to compete at the top level.

Where was that match won? Three areas stick out.

Djokovic won it at the net. His drop shots were excellent, and in the final set he won nine of 13 points at the net - 69%, compared to 30% by Sinner.

Zverev lost it with his forehand. He sprayed too many wide at key moments, and it remains a fundamental flaw in his play.

And finally, it was won and lost mentally. Zverev, particularly in set three, checked out and let his head drop. Djokovic, as almost always through his stellar career, ploughed on through.

Interesting to see Novak stretching out his hip flexors on both sides. That's not a good sign towards the end of a match but hopefully there's nothing wrong except a little bit of stiffness.

So, Zverev needs to hold serve to stay in the French Open.

There was an incident in the crowd just behind the umpire's chair.

Not sure what the issue was exactly but you could hear a verbal exchange going on.

Security officers quickly moved in and escorted a man out of the stadium.

    Drama over. Game on.
