Alcaraz v Munar
Jaume Munar may never have entered the world’s top 50 but he is just one of two Spaniards to have beaten Carlos Alcaraz at ATP Tour level – the other being Rafael Nadal.
But that victory on the clay in Marbella was back in 2021 when Alcaraz was just 17 and three months away from winning the first of his 20 titles, which now include five Grand Slams.
Even then Munar realised how good Alcaraz was: "I won the match but I knew he would come to the top," he told ATPTour.com.
"Honestly [today at Queen’s] my chances are low. That’s the reality.
"But if I have to face Carlos, doing it on a surface where he hasn’t had much preparation is the best-case scenario for me."
