  2. 'I don't think I played my best'published at 19:00 British Summer Time 11 June

Matchwinner Cam Norrie speaking after his win: "It was not easy, I came out and I started on fire. I wanted to come to Nottingham and get some matches and play against some top players. It was a top match, he definitely raised his level in the second set.

"I had to scrap to that third set. I don't think I played my best, always that first match back on grass is not easy.

"The courts here in Nottingham are unbelievable, the ground staff do an amazing job.

"These matches are invaluable before Wimby so it's a pleasure to come.

"I had a disappointing clay season. I wanted to do much better in the French Open. But I think it's a positive that I get to come here and prepare better for the grass.

"I want to get matches this week. I'm really excited, I know I can play well on the grass. It just takes time to build the confidence and get wins like this when you're not playing your best.

"I'm happy to get through but definitely need to improve to have a chance at my next one. There were a couple of sloppy errors I need to work on, but that's all part of grass and solving those rallies."
