Watch: Tipp overcome Kilkenny in frenetic semi-final
Tipperary beat Kilkenny 4-21 to 0-30 in Sunday's semi-final to set up an the All-Ireland Hurling decider against Cork on 20 July.
John McGrath, Darragh McCarthy and Jason Forde scored first-half goals for the Premier County, but McCarthy was sent off in the second half.
Kilkenny led late on but 19-year-old Oisin O'Donoghue came off the bench to score a wonder goal and help Tipp return to the final for the first time in six years.
