Wales star Wainwright goes back to his roots

Aaron Wainwright is the Welsh Rugby Writers player of the year for 2023-24.

The Wales and Dragons number eight received the award at Whiteheads RFC in Newport, the club where he started his rugby career and where he spends part of his spare time coaching.

Wainwright tells Scrum V about his honour at receiving the top accolade, his hopes for the Dragons, how he would like to go on and win 100 Wales caps and his dream of being involved with the British and Irish Lions next summer in Australia.

Dragons head coach Dai Flanagan and Wales assistant Rob Howley outline Wainwright's impressive credentials on and off the field.
